The Role During an exciting time of business growth and expansion, the Pratt & Whitney Human Resources team is seeking to hire a business partner adept at developing human resources strategy, thinking innovatively with respect to process improvement initiatives and rolling up their sleeves to drive tactical actions to closure. This business partner will primary support our professional engineering population within the Systems Engineering & Validation (SEV) organization of 1,000+ exempt and non-exempt employees. Within Pratt & Whitney’s Engineering organization, SEV is responsible for the planning, execution, development and validation of jet propulsion systems through all Engineering Integrated Product Development (IPD) phases.

Specific responsibilities of this position include and are not limited to:
-Partnering with business leaders to gain a firm understanding of business goals and aligning human resources programs that support organizational growth and success.
-Effectively executing all HR processes including talent acquisition, leadership development, performance management and salary increase/incentive compensation planning activities.
-Ensuring proper staffing levels, infusing talent into the organization and improving leadership bench strength.
-Counseling first-line supervisors and managers through challenging performance management/employee relations matters and bringing them to a successful outcome.
-Achieving breakthrough improvements in employee engagement through effective data analysis, idea generation, internal/external benchmarking and adoption of initiatives by line leaders and our employee population.
-Driving the adoption of HR transformation initiatives including UTC’s HR delivery model and HR People Services (shared services).
-Leveraging continuous improvement tools, including United Technologies' Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Operating System, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of HR processes and tools.
-Ensuring Pratt & Whitney's compliance with all federal and state employment laws and regulations.
-Championing world-class Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) practices on site that support employee wellbeing.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in business (management/human resources focus) or liberal arts (e.g. psychology, communication).

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business (management/human resources focus) or liberal arts (e.g. psychology, communication).
7 years of experience working in an exempt level role within Human Resources with bachelor's degree

5 years of experience working in an exempt level role within Human Resources with master's degree

Preferred Qualifications:


Master's or other advanced degree (M.A./M.S./MBA) in business (management/human resources focus) or liberal arts (e.g. psychology, communication).
Manufacturing industry experience.
