Job Description:

The UTC Cyber Fusion Center is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as our Regional Operations lead.  The successful candidate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a geographically dispersed team, planning, coordinating, and executing all facets of Security Operations in order to ensure that UTC cyber defenses are functioning appropriately across all metric categories of predict, prevent, detect, and respond. 

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a diverse team of analysts and Insuring that day-to-day operations are executing according to plan and in coordination with other regional Cyber Fusion elements.

  • Reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to identify areas where improvements can be made.

  • Conducting and coordinating operational analysis and active research activities in order to find unexplored areas for orchestration and automation.

  • Producing reports and collaborating on the creation and execution of plans to test UTC cyber defenses against new intrusion vectors, malware, and advanced adversaries.

  • Collaborating with all regions and elements of the Cyber Fusion Center and Business Units in order to ensure seamless coordination amongst the federated SecOps teams.

Required experience and skills:

  • The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to prepare and present papers, briefings, and other materials to UTC Senior Leadership across the enterprise.

  • The successful candidate will have experience building and/or leading and mentoring teams of analysts across multiple security disciplines.

  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cyber defenseive tools and infrastructure along with an understanding of how to tip, queue, and orchestrate action across the defensive platform in order to minimize the time from detection to action.

Desired experience and skills:

  • The preferred candidate will have experience working for or with Federal Law Enforcement agencies and/or the US Intelligence Community (USIC) in either an analytic or operational capacity. Experience working for or with non-US Law Enforcement or Intelligence organizations will also be considered.

  • Certifications desired but not required: CISSP, CEH, Security+, CCNA or greater, SANS certifications

Education:

  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, or another related field, OR

  • 15+ years of experience in the cybersecurity field, OR

  • 10+ years of experience leading or managing teams and performing technical cyber threat intelligence, OR

  • 7+ years of experience leading or managing teams and performing technical computer network operations (targeting, analysis, or conducting operations)

Status:

US Citizen or US Person required.
