We are looking to add a talented and forward-thinking Sr Manufacturing Engineer to our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position is for a seasoned professional in Manufacturing Engineering, who works independently, designs simple assembly line and sequence of complex operations. Checks manufacturability of existing products, and implements manufacturing processes and changes to improve products and reduce costs.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Lead and implement safe work practices and environment
  • Engineering support for electronic end-item assembly and test
  • Manage, Create and Maintain Standard work Instructions
  • Manage Engineering changes into work packages
  • Work with Design Engineering to improve producibility/ease manufacture of product
  • Manage & Create standard visual work instructions using various software packages
  • Lead team projects such as Control Builds, QCPC projects. Support of production floor and ACE/Continuous Improvement projects involving lean manufacturing implementation
  • Interpret and apply International Trade Compliance requirements per policy
  • Strong focus on maintaining internal and external customer satisfaction and quality.

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelors' degree required
    • Engineering discipline degree strongly preferred
  • Master's degree a plus

Experience/Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 5 years related experience OR Master's Degree and minimum 3 years experience- Manufacturing, electronics or aerospace experience preferred  
  • Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings
  • Ability to support development of Assembly Instructions, routings and time standards
  • Able to work with Microsoft Office and with manufacturing engineering software (e.g. CorelDraw, Solumina and CAD/CAM software)
  • Communicate effectively with team members, internal & external customers
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
  • Effective use of problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Able to work with manufacturing programs such as SAP, Visio, Solumina


Preferred Qualifications:

  • New product introduction and development
  • Tooling and fixture design
  • Support of automated and semi-automated processes
  • Experience with PWA/end item production/customer return upgrades
  • MS Access experience is a plus.
