Reporting to the Manager, Commodity Management, you will be responsible for leading the special process strategic sourcing efforts for Landing System and will be expected to become an 'expert' with regard to the commodities and suppliers you will manage. You will optimize the supplier base with a concentration on developing global, regional, and local strategies designed to achieve organizational objectives including costs, quality, and delivery and you will be responsible for the selection and management of a flexible supplier base that ensures an uninterrupted supply of materials with the highest quality and lowest cost.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy to meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements
* Develop and execute supplier specific strategies (grow/develop, maintain, exit)
* Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Ensure supplier development efforts are aligned with the sourcing strategy, including the deployment of Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Development and Engineering resources
* Lead contract negotiations and secure internal stakeholder approvals
* Provide updates on the sourcing strategy and supplier performance to Goodrich leadership and key customers
* Manage product implementation efforts at key suppliers - including coordination of customer approvals
* Provide support to buyers to ensure the product delivery schedule supports production requirements
* Conduct supplier reviews
* Coordinate commodity sourcing strategies with Goodrich Corporate teams
* Resolution of all supplier issues
* Perform other duties as assigned

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related discipline
* Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience dealing with special processes [knowledge of manufacturing processes (chrome, nickel, cadmium-titanium, HVOF, etc. strongly preferred)]
* Experience with international sourcing is preferred
* Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with LEAN manufacturing systems or Six Sigma is preferred
* Proven track record dealing with all of levels of an organization
* Strong analytical abilities with a logical and organized approach
* Ability to work independently and within cross functional project teams
* Demonstrated experience in an aerospace (or similar) purchasing environment
* Successful candidates must meet requirements under ITAR and CCGP
