We are seeking a technical leader who has experience in successfully executing field services and training functions with a keen eye toward superior customer experiences. This role would have a focus both domestically and globally, and interface with customers and internal technical support functions and sales. It also would include participation in developing and executing strategies for business growth and technical excellence.

The role will work closely with global counterparts in the field organization to maintain consistent delivery of services but also development and delivery of technical presentations and training activities. The role will also help to support development of product documentation in support of installation or servicing of Det-Tronics products. This range of products may include activities from product installation, preventive maintenance to software upgrades and product refurbishment. Additionally, this role will assist in growing the recurring service revenue through sales of service, preventative maintenance, etc. agreements to existing customers as well as upgrades of existing products.
In this role, you will use your technical and problem solving skills, strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities and excellent communication skills to deliver excellent customer support, training programs and also with participation to further maintain and grow services and support company products, systems and services.

Responsibilities Highlights

  • Drive excellence for training and customer technical support services for business growth and customer loyalty, working closely with sales, channel partners, customer service, and other internal stakeholders
  • Provide leadership for delivering quality technical field services to Det-Tronics internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding UTC values at all times.
  • Develop and administer tests to measure effectiveness of training curriculum or services. May also develop and compile result of questionnaires to evaluate and improve training programs and services.
  • Deliver and assure quality in-service training delivery by Det-Tronics in alignment with Field Service, Training and Technical Support leadership.
  • Support execution of business objectives to achieve KPIs, including proper Field Service documentation and reporting in order to drive growth in identified markets
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with customers by reinforcing quality, and continuous innovation and improvements.
  • Prospecting, tracking and securing recurring service revenue agreements for maintenance, preventative services with existing customers.|
  • Degree or equivalent experience in business, technical field or engineering discipline
  • 10 years of diversified technical support experience in a technology field is preferred
  • Understanding of industrial fire protection/suppression and flammable/toxic gas detection systems used in petrochemical, oil, and gas production facilities| Required
  • Degree or equivalent experience in business, technical field or engineering discipline

  • Strong technical and logical thinking skills along with thorough judgment to make tactical and strategic decisions
  • Strong working knowledge of AC/DC circuits, analog and digital electronics, digital communication protocols, and process safety/control, fire systems.
  • Ability to successfully complete challenging assignments and generate accurate service documentation and administrative activities is required.
  • Experience with training and services initiatives and proposal development
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow-up on issues and progress in order to meet leadership expectations
  • Excellent written, verbal skills, and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Capability to perform in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Experience working cooperatively and respectfully on multicultural/cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of how to present ideas and strategies clearly to diverse audiences, leadership, and decision makers
  • Comfortable and able to travel in order to meet business needs
