Have you considered what it may be like to work at Pratt & Whitney? We have a rare opportunity for a talented Cell Commercial Budget Manager for Instrumentation in our Middletown, CT location. The Commercial Budget Manager for the Instrumentation Cell, is a supporting role for coordinating Instrumentation cost / scheduling supporting commercial engine program budgets for Systems Engineering - Validation (SEV) in Middletown, CT. Individual should have experience with project management and be able to apply standard methodologies to SEV. Individual will work and support the Discipline Managers within Instrumentation, Validation Managers, Program budget mangers and Program Office to identify budget estimates, support proposals, track monthly performance, costs and staffing levels, support the OMM manpower process, and communicate risks and opportunities. Success will be measured by meeting program timelines and managing financial risks for funded programs. Some travel required. Responsibilities of this support role include: •Generate/ maintain manpower and open dedications reports and recognize any risks or opportunities associated with each program. •Build ROMs and Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for program execution. •Project and track hours, dollars, spend & schedule variances for the program(s). •Define manpower requirements as far as overall headcount throughout the program. •Coordinate with those internal (SVLs, Val Managers, AIT, etc.) and external (Program offices, etc.) to SEV to gather requirements and work through issues on the program. •Identify improvements to Engineering Standard Work (ESW) during execution of assigned tasks. •Use of ACE to find opportunities to improve tools, methods and processes used by all Budget Managers. •Provide monthly reporting to Program Budget Managers
Required Qualifications •BS/BA degree or working towards completion •2+ years of Project Management and Finance experience •US Citizen, due to Government contracts Preferred Qualifications •Systems Engineering experience preferred but not required •Excellent organization, communication and project management skills. •Good interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Education / Certifications BS/BA degree or working towards completion.
