The Specialist, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) will join the fast-paced, innovative Residential Digital team focused on transforming how Carrier goes to market and address the changing preferences of North American consumers. This cross-functional team operates semi-independently from the Residential business as it designs, develops, and launches small pilot programs to learn, iterate, and transform.

The Specialist, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) will be responsible for troubleshooting reported issues, documenting requirements for application improvements, brainstorming new improvements and testing new application improvements for some of Carrier's software products. This role will work closely with a program manager and full-time development team. Time will be spent writing testing scripts, reviewing applications for detects, assisting the development teams determine root cause on issues found, and collaborating with product managers and software development teams to suggest new designs and standards for various applications.
Develop robust testing procedures against specification documents to ensure all functions of a software product is being examined.
Run various tests on new software products to ensure that programs satisfy all specifications and requirements.
Record all defect details and create and distribute reports outlining the types of defects found and the steps taken to resolve these issues.
Work closely with developers to recognize the potential for any operational issues, assess risks, and resolve issues before the new software is complete.
Engage with customers reporting issues to provide resolution information and gather information necessary to determine root cause
Review and understand defects and translate those into actionable items.
Perform triage, troubleshooting and analysis of issues and failures reported by team members to determine if the issue is a defect, enhancement, or user-error.
Collaborating with product managers and software development teams to outline software specifications and standards
Identify opportunities for enhancements to applications and present those ideas to the team| EDUCATION:
BA/BS degree with 5 of related experience
MA/MS degree with 2 years related experience| QUALIFICATIONS:
Diverse Testing Experience - demonstrate experience with both manual and automated testing on both web and mobile platforms.
