The Senior Manager, Social Engagement is critical to the successful development, execution and day-to-day management of Otis’ social and digital strategy.   This includes developing, planning and managing content across all company social media channels. This individual is an advocate for creating a strong corporate and executive social presence and building a program aimed at increasing engagement to a diverse – yet targeted - audience on all priority social platforms. 

Utilizing a client services approach, this individual will works with various company stakeholders to understand the value of a strong social media presence.  They will provide insights and expertise to Otis leaders, helping them understand and choose a social media platform that best aligns to their executive communications goals. They will also manage influencer and third-party advocacy.

The Senior Manager is focused on metrics and analytics and values the ability to quantify results, often adjusting strategy and tactics “in real time” to enhance performance and meet established KPIs. They supports a broader, integrated insights and analytics program by measuring the impact of social engagement and its flow through and alignment with other communications disciplines. The Senior Manager has a clear understanding of paid content and how to leverage it for effective campaign engagement.

The Senior Manager maintains awareness of best practices for social engagement to influence decisions regarding the company’s use of available tools and platforms to maximize impact.

Senior Manager helps to ensure Otis maintains and effectively communicates up-to-date policies and guidelines for social engagement.


The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of social engagement experience, has a client services mindset and addresses the needs of their stakeholders proactively and strategically.

This individual is motivated by the opportunity to bring fresh ideas and innovative thinking to the social engagement role at Otis.

  • Advocate of metrics and analytics with a demonstrated ability to quantify the business impact of communications and campaigns
  • Provides effective counsel on when company should be proactive versus reactive with external messaging using social channels
  • Sound judgement
  • Self-motivated with a bias for action
  • Works well under pressure and in crises
  • Proven track record of serving as a trusted adviser to executives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive business outcomes
  • Adept at balancing the tactical and strategic nature of the role
  • Focused on a consultative approach to professional services
  • Appetite for keeping informed about developments and best practices in digital and social media; shares insights with team
  • A consensus builder who works effectively with employees at all levels within the organization, including executives 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related field preferred
