Role Overview

Otis is seeking a SharePoint Infrastructure Engineer to play a central role in the infrastructure and solution lifecycle by establishing new and maintaining existing multi-farm hybrid SharePoint environments, responding to feature and configuration requests, designing solutions and envisioning critical follow-up work. This position will play an integral role in the design, development, customization and integration efforts of solutions involving Collaboration Portals, Content Management and Business Process improvements. The successful candidate will leverage SharePoint within the Microsoft Office 365 platform by partnering with business users and providing guidance and support in implementing solutions using the entire Office 365 collaboration tool set, supplemented by third-party products.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and perform the overall daily administration of global Microsoft SharePoint infrastructure, supporting both on-prem and cloud-based deployments and a global user base
  • Execute SharePoint on-prem and online (Office 365) service delivery, ensuring a robust, secure and reliable enterprise collaboration solution
  • Create and maintain governance and process documentation
  • Execute and support migration efforts sites/users/workflows from current shared infrastructure to dedicated Otis SharePoint platforms
  • Assist in post-migration problem-solving
  • Focus on automation and process improvement to increase efficiency and quality of service
  • Introduce Azure Dev Ops services to development teams and project stakeholders
  • Document design and functional architecture and adhere to best practices
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and engineering-level support to a global user base
  • Own the strategy, roadmap and feature definition for O365 SharePoint Online, including but not limited to Flow, power apps, Delve and One Drive integration

Education / Certifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a computer science or information technology field is required

Basic Qualifications

  • Five-plus years of hands-on experience installing, configuring and maintaining large SharePoint environments
  • Experience configuring, administering and maintaining Office365 SharePoint environments
  • ITIL certification or experience with ITIL
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Dev Ops
  • Working knowledge of the following supporting technologies: SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, Firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Windows Server 2012/2016, and the Microsoft Azure Active Directory
  • Experience managing all aspects of the engineering and support lifecycle for enterprise collaboration applications, including but not limited to documentation, capacity planning, disaster recovery, backup & restore, risk assessment and security/access control
  • Expertise in SharePoint content migration, planning, upgrades, patching and change management
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a focused team environment as part of a large, matrixed organization
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong deductive reasoning
  • Strong interpersonal skills in working with a variety of internal customers to build strong working relationships
  • Strong organizational skills, including prioritizing tasks and balancing multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMI-ACP certification a plus
