We have a rare opportunity for a talented Manager role in the Military Engines Item Repair Strategic Sourcing team to join us at our East Hartford, CT location.

Job Description


The Military Item Repair Strategic Sourcing Team is responsible integrating the strategic and execution activities of the item repair process across in-service military engines programs. This very important role will require a highly motivated, experienced, results driven individual.


As a Manager of the Military Engine Item Repair Strategic Sourcing team, your responsibilities will include:

Leading strategic sourcing efforts including the development, analysis, execution and management of item repair sourcing activities, including but not limited to:

1. Evaluation and analysis of supplier capabilities, capacity, growth plans, coordination of program priorities with supplier performance metrics;
2. Development and alignment of strategies for sourcing across part families and products, common processes; and
3. You will define centers of excellence and recommend specific parts and/or processes for bid on long term agreements

  • You will coordinate and develop the international item repair sourcing strategy in support of the F135 engine. This will include coordination and support of export agreement and license activity with international depots and suppliers

  • You will also losely coordinate with tactical team of the item repair organization to ensure support of compliant bids and the best value competitive process

  • You will have strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a challenging environment.

  • You will also have a proven track record of project/program execution with experience working with aftermarket suppliers, a comprehensive understanding of item repair, supply chain and/or depot maintenance activities.

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree


Experience/Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Materials/Operations

  • 2+ Project Management experience

  • Experience with SAP

  • Experience Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • U.S. Citizenship due to government contracts


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management Engineering or Finance

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Operations or Supply Chain Management

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management in supply chain or aftermarket item repair

  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic sourcing and bid-proposal execution experience

  • Previous experience with Military based contract/development/execution and working with USG regulations is a key consideration

  • Familiarity with F119/F135 engines and parts

  • Engineering and/or manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Understanding of DPAS

  • High energy individual with strong problem solving skills, balancing operations with strategic focus
