As the HR Business Partner, you will provide leadership, partnership, and counsel for several organizations including the United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) and other ambitious, creative, risk tolerant, and fast-moving organizations, initiatives and centers of expertise within Tech@UTC. You will work closely with legal, finance, technology and HR centers of expertise to develop and execute processes and strategies that embrace speed, flexibility, rapid execution and creative collaboration. You will provide sound guidance to organization leaders that embraces and facilitates the delicate balance between unbridled creative momentum and adherence to hiring, engagement, retention, employee relations and general employment best practices. This position will also include oversight over key HR resources in several international locations including Italy, Ireland and China.
You will operate independently to drive consistency, integration, and communication. You are a resourceful, collaborative, organized, independent business partner who prides themselves on excellent business judgement, a self-imposed sense of urgency, and a desire to drive progress.
•Provide leadership across a multitude of critical processes including recruiting, onboarding, retention, performance management, engagement, learning & development and employee relations
•Collaborate with broader Tech@UTC HR team to drive progress across numerous special projects and initiatives
•As a true business partner, provide sound insight and transparent guidance to leaders, ensuring compliance with critical policies, regulations, statutes and the UTC Code of Ethics
•Partner with internal and external recruiters and sourcing solutions to secure industry leading talent for critical projects and organizations
•Explore new technologies, software platforms and mediums to facilitate progressive hiring, collaboration and engagement strategies
•Foster a highly collaborative, virtual, engaged, risk tolerant, flat organization that drives aggressive innovation and cultural progress
•Lead change management initiatives to modernize, standardize and drive efficiency into all existing HR processes
•Resourceful and resilient with a heightened and self-imposed sense of urgency
•Motivated self-starter with a strong enthusiasm to learn and passion for speed and agility
•Results-oriented with excellent communication and customer focus
•Ability to deal well with ambiguous and undefined problems
•Able to effectively balance competing priorities without compromising product quality

Education & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
•Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field preferred
•Demonstrated history of success in multiple positions of increasing scope and responsibility, with a significant duration of experience and expertise spanning the full qualifications of this role
