As Counsel, Compliance Investigations, you will be part of the Legal, Compliance and Contracts team, and will partner with other members of the company and play an important role in the creation and implementation of company-wide Compliance policies and programs. This covers all applicable aspects of the Arms Export Control Act, International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Federal Acquisition Regulations and related statutes and regulations. Should you be selected, you will be part of the Legal, Compliance, and Contracts organization and report to the Director, Compliance Investigations. Responsibilities: Do you have the experience to be successful? Your key focus areas will include, but not be limited to: Conducting internal investigations and working in close collaboration with impacted business units to develop and timely implement adequate corrective actions and identify compliance enhancements and risk mitigation strategies. Preparing disclosures to the relevant government agencies as applicable. Cooperating with team members and various business units to resolve compliance matters and provide compliance advice to business clients. Enhancing the P&W Compliance program by assisting with the strategic development and maintenance of company-wide compliance policies and programs, driving the implementation of key global policies and procedures, developing communication strategies, and performing employee training. Taking a project leadership role in compliance enhancement initiatives by collaborating with various business units (Engineering, Human Resources, Supply Chain, etc.) and leading cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull data from assorted sources and synthesize. Contribute to the design and bring about of Compliance improvement projects. Directly support “One Company” initiatives as pertaining to Compliance Audits, Self-Assessments, and Corrective Actions. All other duties as assigned. Travel requirements: approximately 10%
U.S. Citizen. Due to program requirements 5+ Years of experience in an attorney type capacity in a compliance related role or import & export Preferred Craft clear communication Creative troubleshooting skills Possess excellent judgment and professional maturity Multi-task, handle multiple deadlines simultaneously, and provide guidance and practical solutions to cross-functional projects effectively and on time Ability to work with minimal daily supervision as a member of both business teams and the legal, compliance and contracts organization, and to balance numerous priorities within compressed time frames Be an excellent advisor and business partner, able to see the big picture yet understand the necessity and importance of being meticulous and addressing details Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing demands Compile information and provide creative solutions
Bachelor Degree, Juris Doctorate (JD) Preferably with some knowledge of U.S. export & import regulations
