Staff Embedded Software Engineer - Air Combat Avionics

The T&TI Software Engineering team is looking for a dynamic Staff Software Engineer. The candidate will be a leader in the full software development life cycle on an agile development team with the responsibility for developing embedded software from design through software unit test. The candidate will lead and mentor software team members throughout the development process. The candidate will be expected to lead making complex design trade-offs, defending critical design decisions, to ensure the production of high quality software within budget and schedule that meets customer needs.
Must Have Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
•Candidate must be able to obtain and retain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
•Embedded systems C/C++ software development experience (8+ years)
•Experience following a well defined software development process (8+ years)
•Motivated self-starter with strong analytical skills
•Experience with multi-threaded real-time embedded networked applications
•Experience in developing products for military applications meeting government security or safety standards
• Linux OR Green Hills RTOS development experience
•Configuration management tools and processes experience
A successful candidate should possess the following (ranked):
•TCP/IP network applications development experience
•UML experience (2+ years)
•Experience with OOA/D architectures and design patterns
•Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a professional team environment
•Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while balancing priorities and schedules
A successful candidate may possess the following:
•Enterprise Architect experience (1+ years)
•Background and/or knowledge of range test and training systems
•Knowledge and cognizance of Live Virtual Constructive concepts
•Experience with Agile development methodology
