As part of Carrier Digital transformation, we are looking for a motivated individual to support the cloud migration and modernization initiative of the Digital Organization. This Technical Delivery Lead will deliver application migration and modernization on Carrier's future public cloud environment.  This role will be a key contributor to Carrier's Cloud Team with immediate responsibility of orchestrating the building of Carrier's AWS platform, refreshing the cloud business case, and ultimately deliver the migration and modernization of on premise applications to AWS.  The individual in this role has to be well versed in agile practices and must have experience with both cloud migrations and coaching the agile methodology to Carrier employees.  This is a hands on role with advance scrumming and Scaled Agile Framework experience.  Performance of this individual will be based on her/his ability to deliver in a highly matrix team and teaching through experience as opposed to traditional classroom training.

In the Agile Delivery Lead role, you’ll serve as the servant leader for your teams by ensuring clear communication and helping the teams reach their goals. The Agile Delivery Lead will drive the appropriate Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/etc) focus on predictable, quality delivery, and drive continuous improvement of the team.  You will facilitate team productivity by removing impediments and by preserving flexibility and ability to rapidly respond to changes.  You will also measure the teams progress through quantifiable metrics.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Organize, manage and ensure delivery of internal and vendor project deliverables and milestones
  • Create clear and concise summary reports
  • Represent the project / program status with the team and leaders
  • Ability to work in an "agile like" manner in successive 2 week iterations as the teams gets acclimated to the new delivery experience
  • Use good judgment on how hard to push the new agile / SAFe methodology on the team that doesn't have past experience in it
  • Identify critical tasks and provide a differential focus on aspects that pose serious risks
  • Manage expectations with the vendor partner
  • Identify, track and take action on key risks and impediments
  • Be able to quickly and appropriately escalate impediments for an expeditious resolution
  • Track costs and manage them against the budget
  • Articulate thoughts and ideas creatively in Power Point slide decks
  • Be a team player that gets work done through others
  • Communicate the business need, urgency and vision to internal and external teams


  • Insures team(s) maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery
  • Provides visibility into delivery targets, commitments and progress
  • Be well managed – understand and coach the team on delivery controls/compliance to minimize operational/reputational risk
  • Understands and supports the product and technical strategies
  • Understand and stay current on domain architecture and targets to identify upstream/downstream dependencies and support the team in risk management
  • Supports team’s automation (testing, pipelines, deployments)/DevOps journey


  • Integrate Agile & Lean principles into team practices
  • Coach PO/team on backlog refinement and prioritization
  • Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and work with team to continuously improve
  • Innovates with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
  • Understand and encourage team’s engineering innovation and improvement (XP engineering practices, Dev Ops, etc.)
  • Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
  • Act as an Agile mentor/coach to other Scrum Masters or any Agile role
  • Agile & Technical Learning: Actively seek and participate in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training and independent study to further develop self and community

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
  • At least 3 years of Agile experience
  • At least 3 years of Technology delivery experience
  • At least 1 year of experience using Jira
  • Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI’s Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
  • Confident, articulate and succinct
  • Good understanding of agile processes and ability to utilize it for quick deliveries.
  • Good understanding of using agile metrics to keep programs on track depending on the specific methodology
  • A technologist at heart and passionate to learn about new technologies such as the public cloud
  • Creative out of the box thinker that can deliver complex efforts in a timely manner
  • Good presentation skills,  articulation of key messages and gravitas during presentations
  • Not afraid of failure and excellent judgment on balancing the risk & reward
  • Able to quickly grasp and understand megatrends and new technology and how it can benefit Carrier Digital
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a large, complex organization
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 Years of Agile experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  • SAFe certified or experience (or other scaled agile frameworks)
