We are seeking a motivated, process-oriented individual to contribute to our supply chain effectiveness from the supplier through the end customer. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: We currently have an opportunity for a Sr Demand Planning Analyst to join the Supply Chain Planning organization for North America HVAC Systems and Services. This position will provide a key link between the production and procurement activities in the OEM business and the demand in the distribution channel across the business. In addition, the position will play a leading role in coordinating and improving the existing Sales & Operations Planning process. The successful candidate will coordinate processes and systems in the following key areas: Improving overall service level for customers in the distribution channel. Improving inventory turns while managing to inventory targets. Improving inventory availability and matching mix more closely to true customer demand. Improving overall productivity of assets (inventory, logistics, facilities). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development, implementation and refinement of a distributor demand management process/system to allow daily reviews of distributor inventory positions and early proactive identification of pending availability issues. Analyze daily distributor demand intelligence against forecasts and recommend proactive inventory or scheduling actions to address. Produce regular trending analysis on availability issues, accounting for geography, seasonality, product transitions and sales programs. Establish standards or standard work for demand forecasting. Refine and improve current S&OP information collection process to make it more efficient and productive. Provide support to gain consensus on final monthly forecasts presented to executive management. Analyze and recommend options to reduce Excess and Obsolete through phase-in/phase-out process and sku rationalization Candidate will be a key participant in S&OP process overall and a specific contributor to Commercial Accessory planning and Demand Planning efforts. Additional opportunities to lead project teams within Supply Chain and Logistics organization will become available as initiatives are developed. Actively lead process improvement projects on cross functional teams. Individual will have oversight of Commercial Accessory planning, inventory levels, and drive improvement on inventory turns. Candidate will be heavily involved in the Demand Planning process and improvements to the existing SAP APO tools. Represent Demand Planning / Supply Chain and Logistics in key business initiatives to reduce inventory, improve lead times, and increase customer on time performance. TYPICAL EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS degree with 4-7+ years of experience MA/MS degree with 2-5+years of experience KEY QUALIFICATIONS:The ideal candidate will be a high energy, dynamic individual looking for an opportunity to join a diverse organization in a very competitive environment. Successful candidates will have: Excellent proven analytical skills Ability to analyze disparate information and draw conclusions/recommendations Knowledge and experience with demand forecasting (statistical and business process) Strong verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills Ability to work across organizational boundaries and Supply Chain organization Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and Access Experience with SAP and Business Intelligence Working knowledge of SAP APO planning system Experience in leading cross functional projects
